The
Institute of Export Management, Calcutta, is a professional body
established in 1978 and incorporated in 1980 under Act XXVI
of
1963 of the Govt. of West Bengal and aimed at imparting higher education
in international trade through techno management system for the benefits
of thousands of people, who for the dearth of proper guidance cannot
achieve
a
successful career in the trade.
The
Institute is the first recognised Institute in Eastern India exclusively
established for imparting practical-oriented
training courses in the field of international trade and is associated
to different All India Bodies on Export
Promotion set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India
viz.
Federation of Indian
Export Organisations (FIEO), New Delhi. The
Institute is also an Institutional Member of the
International
Association of Trade Training Organisations,
U.K.
